Thoughts Become Things 

This is literally the best motto, mantra or saying you can live by. I’ve been recently trying to improve myself overall and practice being the best version possible and these words ‘thoughts become things’are really helping 😊 it is actually scientifically proven that having a positive attitude and mindset can improve your wellbeing and life because you are surrounding your mind with good thoughts and not allowing negativity to get to you. Many well known people actually lived by this and they are well known and famous today for there success. Throughout your day I challenge you to always remember ‘thoughts become things’ and see the amazing changes that take place in your life!!

Self Love

Simple things you can do to achieve self love.

1. Spend time alone

2. Admit your mistakes and move on

3. Listen to your emotions

4. Sleep on it, before making major decisions

5. Teach people how you’d like to be treated

Self love will lead to profound healing for your body, mind and soul 🙂

Watch: A True Cost

De temps en temps I like watching documentaries, a few months ago I watched ‘a true cost’ and was informed on so many interesting things about how the economy is effected around some parts of the world from the obsessive culture of people buying and throwing away so many clothes. It definitely isn’t fair on the countries that have to suffer from bad pollution which directly effects their bodies too!

An insight into what I learned: Everyday in Kanpur more than 15 million litres of toxic waste water pours out of the pipes. The local environment is contaminated and the soil is contaminated. The only drinking source they have is ground water which is contaminated with chromium

Effects of contamination causes skin rashes, boils and even numbness in the limbs. Chromium attacks the liver and causes jaundice, creating digestive problems. The little money people make is used to treat these illnesses. 

The fashion industry today is the 2nd most polluting industry on the earth, second only to the oil industry. Even though the fashion industry uses a huge amount of natural resources it has a terrible environmental impact.

1950’s an industrial change: exponential growth and use of natural resources.

The economy is based on materialism, people feeling the need to constantly buy and throw things away. All the hard work gone into the making of the clothes isn’t appreciated the way it should be.

Many of the workers are in unsafe working conditions which sometimes lead to people dying during a work day. It’s not fair at all, people should always have great working conditions and should be treated fairly.

Consumers search for happiness in the consumption of buying things. In a way it is not only the consumers fault because companies trick us into thinking we need more things, through advertisements which is a type of propaganda!

If there is anything you think you could do to make a positive impact, do it because you never know whose life you’d be changing for the better. Though people live in bad conditions all over the world to know that as a consumer of clothes (sometimes cheap) I’m buying into a world of factory workers commonly of young women who work extremely long hours every day in hope that their children will live better lives.

I would really recommend watching this documentary even if you think your spending habits are good, you will learn more about the negative side of the fashion industry which is usually hidden and maybe even a few tips on how you can make a difference.

What’s on My Mind

We’ve had such lovely, warm weather today in the UK (almost too hot) but I’m not complaining.

I’m just lying here thinking about life, the world and everything that has happened fairly recently. Even though the chances of this are so low I wish that we all lived in a peaceful world where every colour and culture was just accepted by all. We are human beings and deserve the right to an equal non-judgemental life. It’s not fair that certain types of people have to suffer because of the colour of their skin or their religious beliefs because everybody is different and stereotypes are often not accurate. Sometimes I wish there was something I could do to change things and make them better but this world is much too big for one to conquer 🙂 We also live in a world that is so obsessed technology that we forget real life things, simple things like nature.

Why do we get sad and emotional??

It’s crazy sometimes when your in a certain situation and things change, not necessarily for the worst but it’s just the change that really has an affect on your life. Why do we attach ourselves to people or memories that we know one day will change? And why is it always so hard to accept that change? I always feel like change (of any kind) is literally the worst thing in the world, especially in that moment when you know it will never be the same. Your mind goes on a whirl wind thinking back to all the great times that are now truly in the past and happiness seems so far away 😥

To be accepted by someone simply for who you are is one of the greatest things in the world that I will forever cherish and will always stay with me as a positive memory that it’s okay to be me 🙂

I do know that change is good because it shows progression and growth and your ability to challenge your mind and body in new surroundings!

Change is good and it will always be difficult you’ve just got to learn to deal with it (regardless of what is changing) and know that the future holds many more great experiences for you to endure!

The Truth…

About Cancer.

You known when you watch something and you feel totally inspired to change the world?? That’s how I felt after watching The Truth About Cancer!! I really looked forward to the 9 docu-series every day and set time aside to watch the video’s and learn so much about our bodies that no one else would ever dare teach us. The episodes really express hope that anything is possible.

It was interesting to listen to the ‘survivor’ stories and get more of an insight into the pharmaceutical industry. Doctors are not taught about nutrition and only know to advise/cure someone with medicinal items like drugs and pills, to be honest it is not fault because it’s how they have been educated and they don’t know better. It’s crazy how the world is when you think about it, you try to live a healthier lifestyle but them something else comes along that causes your body harm.

I know that some people are skeptical to trying new things but I would definitely recommend buying or watching these videos because you will be aware of all the possibilities of curing cancer and you will really appreciate the commitment of everyone who took part. I do enjoy watching documentaries these days because I am constantly learning new things and expanding my brain to lots of things I never new existed, it’s such a great feeling when you watch something and actually want to make positive changes in the world and that’s why I’m sharing it with you.

Why you should start journaling

It’s a great way to recollect your thoughts and feelings throughout the day, journaling allows you to read your thoughts back at a later date and understand how you felt at different moments in your life. You can gain confidence within yourself and also trust that when looking back on your words you’ll have achieved a lot and grown into a better person.

It doesn’t have to be in anything fancy just a simple notebook and pen will do.

‘You should write your feelings down when your feeling emotional to capture that particular moment and keep it in your mind to treasure so that when you read over it you can remember exactly how you felt’

Making Decisions :-\

Why is it so hard to make a decision?? Especially when it’s between two options…. Recently having to make some minor decisions and I’m still wondering now a week later if I made the right choice. Weighing up the positives and negatives which are pretty much even how do you know if you’ve made the right choice?? There’s no guidance or handbook to follow so you know your on the right line, you just make the decision and hope for the best. I can’t lie though I feel it would be much easier if someone were there to tell me which to choose but then I wouldn’t learn or understand the journeys of life 🙂

Hopefully one day I will be able to make a decision in the future and trust in myself that I made the right choice without regret or looking back pondering.

Mini Update

So I really feel like I have been so distracted lately with life and I have not been paying as much attention to my blog as I would have liked, I don’t always get the chance to do baking throughout the week which is why I decided to incorporate Monday Quotes and a Review in my blog each week as well as a recipe. This was a good idea however I feel like the simple dynamics of my blog is changing and it is not where I would like it to be. I loved posting Monday Quotes because I found it so amazing that anyone can be inspired by just a few words and I enjoyed sharing my reviews of products with people in case they had similar views on natural/organic products like I do. Now I want to put both of these to rest for the time being and keep the main focus on food, through my studies at University I have learned so much about food and really would love to change my diet so that it is more nutritious and healthy. I will be sharing these recipes on my blog.

How to deal with failure

Regardless of the situation at first it may seem like the worst thing ever and that there’s nothing you can do to fix or change the situation but just remember….there’s always light at the end of the tunnel 🙂

It doesn’t really matter specifically what has happened in your life as long as you stay hopeful, acknowledging and accepting what has happened will enable you to move on. This is the first stage of you becoming stronger within.

Here are some tips to help deal with failure:

1. Write down your feelings, thoughts and emotions.

2. Talk through the problems with someone.

3. Organise a plan to make things better.

4. Pray! Even if you are not religious you may have/feel a spiritual connection with the universe which will help ease the pain of your problems.

I really hope this helps if anyone is going through anything they wish they weren’t, life will always be full of obstacles and it’s how you decide to deal with them that determines your future
